Matter Opening Wizard

Create one new matter from an existing client, description and responsible attorney, with reviewed status and optional opening details.

What it does today

Reviewed creation of one new matter: existing client, description, pending/open status, active responsible attorney, optional open date and client reference. Current matter is account anchor only, never cloned or modified. No parties, custom fields, billing setup, folders, tasks, calendar installation or conflict clearance.

How to use

  1. In Clio, open Matterevo and choose Matter Opening Wizard from the Tool Library. Use the search box or the Matter operations family filter to find it.
  2. Enter the details the planner asks for.
  3. Review the proposed outcome, item by item.
  4. Edit or remove anything that is not right.
  5. Confirm to create the reviewed records in Clio.

Before you rely on it

Review and create one new matter for a named existing client with responsible attorney and opening settings. The current scope, including what the tool does not do, is listed under What it does today.

Matterevo works within your existing Clio permissions. Paying never grants additional Clio permissions.
