Tool 037

Version Comparison

Compare pasted versions line by line, label their origins and optionally attach verified matter document references.

What it does today

Exact bounded pasted-text line comparison with manually labelled versions and optional verified current-matter document metadata pins. Formatting, legal significance, server bytes and historical version retrieval are not included.

How to use

  1. In Clio, open Matterevo and choose Version Comparison from the Tool Library. Use the search box or the Documents & research family filter to find it.
  2. Choose the records or sources to compare.
  3. Inspect the evidence and differences side by side. Each finding links to its source record.
  4. Decide what to do. This review does not change Clio on its own.

Before you rely on it

Compare two Clio document versions and summarize substantive changes. The current scope, including what the tool does not do, is listed under What it does today.

Matterevo works within your existing Clio permissions. Paying never grants additional Clio permissions.
